The new era of leaders

Hello business leaders! Looking for ways to hone in on your leadership skills? Look no further! This list of the top 3 leadership opportunities offered at NYU will give you a variety of different experiences that will serve you well as you progress through college! Don’t be scared and make sure to apply when the time comes around, so we can help make you a better leader in your community!
1) First up we have Leadership Launch! This is a 7-week immersive program that runs once every semester. This program teaches students all about the nuances of leadership theory alongside a volunteering project at the end. This allows students to really hone in on key leadership skills to then later be implemented within the real world through the end-of-program project. Not only that, but Leadership Launch is also a great way to make some friends outside of Stern! Because this program is open to all NYU undergraduate students, it fosters a super fun environment that challenges you while also teaching you so much!
2. Up next we have Project OutReach! This is a pre-orientation program for service-minded students who have spent 2 or less semesters at NYU! This program helps new students serve their local NYC community while also introducing them to where they will likely be spending their next few years at. Though this is a service-oriented program, there are a variety of different opportunities within its structure which include but are not limited to educational outings, group discussions, and reflection sessions. This program is a great way to learn more about your community early on in your college career and meet lots of like-minded individuals along the way!
3. Lastly, we have the NYU Stern Street team! This group of individuals works with prospective (and current) students to help them decide if Stern is the right place for them. Through representing Stern at NYU admissions events, answering questions over email and phone, and hosting virtual info. sessions, the Street Team is the perfect program to join if you want to have an impact on students considering Stern! This is a great way to give back to the community while also having a great time!
At the end of the day, leadership skills are not developed overnight; however, with the programs listed above, you can get a head start at developing your skills while also learning a lot along the way! Good luck :)
